Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA)

Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) serves over 250,000 current and former public employees from over 2,000 local units of government throughout the state of Minnesota. PERA also provides monthly benefits to over 90,000 retirees and other benefit recipients.

Teachers Retirement Association (TRA)

Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) is a Minnesota statewide public pension fund that provides retirement, disability, and death benefits to Minnesota public school teachers, administrators, college faculty, retirees, their families and beneficiaries.

National Retired Teacher’s Association (NRTA)

Members of NRTA are dedicated to continuous educational opportunity, advocacy, and service as a means of safeguarding the economic security, work opportunities, and future well-being of all generations.

Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement (LCPR)

LCPR regularly schedules hearings on proposed pension legislation prior to the established initial bill hearing deadline and processes a considerable portion of the proposed pension legislation that is introduced annually. The Pension Commission generally reviews a majority of the proposed pension legislation introduced during a legislative session and recommends for forwarding to the relevant standing committees, often with suggested amendments, about one-half of proposed pension legislation introduced during each legislative session.
